Leigh,

Now about my day today.

It started out with my being woke up by Emily and Michael. The woke their dad up as well. Each of them standing in our bedroom with a tray in their hands. On that tray the breakfast they had made for us. I do my best to be gracious on these mornings. I generally do not like to eat when I first wake up. I usually wait a couple of hours before I eat. But surely I cannot discourage the kids from their efforts, as the radiance in their faces is just priceless. I ate a bit of the breakfast they brought me. It was enough food to feed the whole family I think. On the plate was apple slices, a cheese omelet, 2 slices of danish.....two different flavors, and sausage <microwave kind>, also a large glass of COLD milk. I ate a slice of danish and drank the milk. The milk was very refreshing. I shared the other danish slice with the kids and my son Michael ask for the sausage, which I graciously gave him. The children sat on the bed and were giddy and silly. It was very cute. Emily was very entertaining actually. I told her the danish was good and she started to tell me how they came to buy two different flavors last night. Then she started laughing and said something to the effect of..."oh what am I saying, what I mean is......glad you liked it...I made it myself this morning." The she got even sillier and was going on and on about how much work it was and that she had made everything herself, meaning like from scratch. My husband Mike had gotten a sugar free muffin instead of danish. I ask what flavor it was. She told me it was Strawberry/Chocolate chip <which sound totally gross to me> then she said that "daddy had picked them out last night." As you can suspect, that was followed by the sillies again. She made these hand motions like putting her hand over her heart acting sophisticated, with a surprised look on her face and said....."Oh, what I mean is.....I made them this morning" as she moved her hand up in the air and off to the side, palm side up. It was very funny. Michael, just sat there asking which food on the plate didn't I want, and could he have it!!!

It was very cool of the kids to bring us breakfast. They were just too cute.

The day surely started out with a smile!!
