"Sony and Compaq are one?" You missed the merger too?<g> I thought Sony is currently only offering Duron mobiles, and Compaq is the only one offering Athlon 4 mobiles. With a $425 ASP on a 1ghz Athlon 4, I think I could wait for the 1.2-1.4 versions. Hopefully HP comes through pretty soon, and their delay is not due to a shortage of AMD's chips. If Intel drops their high price on their mobile PIII, it wouldn't be the first time they dropped the price of a scarce chip in response to AMD nipping at their heels.
