Yeah I don't necessarily rate Grants as my best buy. OK let's see. I've gone through a lot of subs this year because I've been experimenting looking for decent ones.

Numero Uno right now is Don Hays. He's hot this year, and all of his discussions are clearly argued and solidly based on proven indicators.

Sy Harding I like for solid market timing discussion. He's not been 100% right this year but he always explains his reasoning clearly.

I like Contrary Investor, good background stuff.

Wall Street Journal/Barrons online subscription is the best pay-per-view deal on the web.

The Economist because they have a good distant perspective on the USA.

Here are a few I've tried and dumped (or about to) this year:

Jim Stack (Investech) was interesting for 6 months, but I'll probably not renew. I don't find his stuff leads me to any trading ideas, but he does have some unique insights on market timing.

DecisionPoint is occasionally useful for charts, mostly the ones Hays refers to. But I'll cancel it now that Hays has got his chart section better maintained.

Richebacher Letter (just cancelled after 3 issues). It's very expensive and he seems to just repeat the same message over and over.

Bob Brinker (just cancelled). He totally blew a market timing call a few months back and now he seems to be scared to make any recommendations at all.

Anthony@Pacific private site. Cancelled membership 2 months back. It's really expensive, but it was well worth it last year for the tuition in dark-side tactics and techniques. I don't like to trade total POS small-cap stocks, and those are about 70% of the ones traded at the A@P site. So I've moved on.

Privateer. Cancelled because the guy is nuts.

Fleet Street Letter. Cancelled because I never got any appealing ideas out of it.
