The Athlon 4 launch reminds me of the GeForce 3 launch from Nvidia. There were only technical articles without benchmarks online from the major hardware sites (Anand, Tom, etc.) and while there were some PR about partners selling GeForce 3 chips "shortly", you had to wait another two months (until now) before real volume kicked in. I hope this launch doesn't follow that pattern.

You will within the next 4 weeks and quite possibility in a market environment where AMD is testing the $40's as a direct consequence!!!

Does anyone know the speeds and ballpark retail price
points for the new desktop Athlon's(Palamino Core?)
slated for release in June? I've seen info about
1.4 & 1.5 all the way to dual 1.8 tests so I'm not
sure what to expect and I need to build a robust
system in the very near future...
