Some numbers
or
Making stuff up

These numbers are the ones reported by emarketing.com, the world's leading provider of internet stats.

Broadband Revenues (Totals 1999 - 2003) (billions)
1999 1.226
2000 2.931
2001 5.703
2002 8.972
2003 13.148

There is some money there. Please note that even with these numbers, emarketing is reiterating that the majority of users will still be using dial-up.

Please post your numbers showing how things shrink..or rant at emarketing a little about misleading stats, that will work.

Here is an interesting quote from Outside Plant...

"So far, broadband has hardly made it's presence felt, representing a mere 14.6% of all US subscribers, or 5.43 million users. Soon, however, the broadband subscriber base will hit a growth phase."

Outside Plant, January 2001

Please explain why they are wrong?

Cisco will benefit directly from the broadband growth phase. Logically, the price could go down as well, but then logically, it never should have been $150.00, but it was.
