Is there a question there somewhere? As I recall, early word had it Alcatel had problems with their G.Lite code (ALA and STM being very close) and STM went to AWRE for G.Lite. So it is possible for the chipset to use ALA code for full rate ADSL and when it ratchets down to G.Lite it is using the AWRE based code...a guess on my part, because it can be all ALA or all AWRE code. Anyway I do know ALA took forever to ship G.Lite code, and when they did ship I don't know who's code it really was.
