Does AMD have any publicly available data sheets for Athlon 4? Seems like the TDP quoted in Tom's Hardware Guide for Athlon 4 is the same as "Typical" TDP for mobile Pentium III. But I can't figure out whether that TDP for Athlon is "Typical" or "Max."

That's the rumored date.

But I agree, I can't understand the pessimism. Perhaps a bulk discount on lithium could be negotiated for SI members... I mean, one second, we're ecstatic, the next, suicidal... :)
