Scumbria:

It's in a public document somewhere on Intel's ebusiness web site - don't have time to search right now as I'm getting ready to take the family to DisneyWorld tomorrow morning.

Scumbria, <Where does the 6.4GFLOPS come from? What clock speed?>

Merced can do a multiply-accumulate on two DP numbers or four SP numbers per clock. That leads to a theoretical max of eight FLOPs per clock. Obviously to get to 6.4 GFLOPs/sec, the clock speed would have to be 800 MHz.
