California's argument that a Texas energy company drove natural gas prices in the state sky high by improperly manipulating the market won support yesterday from federal regulators' main witness in an investigative hearing.

Evidence strongly indicates that El Paso Corp. inflated natural gas prices through its dominance of the company's pipeline into Southern California, a staff economist for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission concluded in written comments filed in the case.

High-tech vs oil/energy companies?

I question why Bush lacks the desire to visit high-tech California, a large GDP producer (20% of growth), even though he has visited 23 other States in the USA.
