Sony seems to have solved them. The reason I finally bought a PS2 last week was because they were available in significant quantities in retail stores everywhere.

Not a moment too soon, either. What has it been, like over seven months since the U.S. release of PS2? Funny how Intel could never slip that long without being shredded in the press.
