The paranoia of right-wingers knows no bounds.

Some Park Service employees made a mistake. It would have happened anyway.

In 1976, it almost happened after some hiker dropped a cigarette which burned most of Bandelier National Monument. The wind shifted right before the fire hit town that year.

In 2000, they didn't get that lucky. The fire cleared the forest out, and now the town is relatively safe from fire.
