You are fooling yourself if you believe that low cost/low power/high performance computing is not the wave of the future.

The future as you describe is already here and has been for quite some time. Intel has been heavily involved in that future, unlike some competitors. Yet the need for more powerful servers just keeps on growing.

There are too many problems with the current paradigm.
