BT Wireless sources believe that NEC's sudden refusal to co-operate ultimately stems from pressure on NEC from Japan's leading mobile operator NTT DoCoMo. DoCoMo and BT have been vying to launch the world's first commercial service, but last month DoCoMo delayed its own planned May launch until October.
