Alternative to Blue Laws: This idea will likely be unpopular...but here goes. Why not eliminate the "flex" office hours adopted by many businesses. As as result of flexible hours, many offices are routinely open from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm...all the while cranking their lights and air conditioning equipment. How about sending everyone home at 5:00 pm? (OK...the childcare-impact, commute-impact, can't-wake-up-before-10-am-impact, civil-liberties-impact people can flame away!) Regards, Bill Shepherd
