I don't know. I think you really have to play around with these websites to get the best deal. I don't like either website really. I bought my last two systems mail ordered generic, standard ATX systems. I was able to determine the chipset I was getting and the AGP card I wanted. Plus I could trade off what DVD ROM or CDRW I wanted and compare their prices. Dell and CPQ don't give you as many choices. I noticed the 5009CL on CPQ's website, but it does not give a price. Just coming soon.

I think both companies offer some low cost systems that are lacking in certain areas such as graphics or older lower performing chipsets.

OOPs! I must not have hit the price update button on the Dell web page. the Dell machine comes to $1319 compared to CPQ's $1175. Obviously the home market is not Dell's sweet spot. But I am still somewhat amazed at how competitive CPQ's prices are.

rudedog,

Is CPQ a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
