Bottom line, though, is that the day before Compaq and AMD officially launched, they sold 5 times as many systems as Intel did for the PIII 1.13GHZ launch during the entire month of its release.

So AMD's launch has a sales rate 150 times as high as Intel's launch. 1,000 in a day vs. 200 in 30 days.
