Scumbria, you really should go back and re-take all those economics classes you slept through in college. Yes, absolutely we have gained FAR more jobs in regard to opening up the markets of Eastern Europe than we lost in the defense industry. Besides, aren't you glad we made the shift and created a more peaceful world as it relates to nuclear annihilation? I sure am! And I am darn glad Reagan had the courage to stay the course and end the evil empire and free millions of Europeans stuck under their grip of fascist socialism. As more and more time passes, and more and more economies grow and grow, the gap will only get wider and wider.
