Intel was 100% correct.

Intel's Pentium 4 already runs at 1.7 GHz with Aluminum.

Anybody with at least a double digit IQ could see Intel was correct - and AMD was wrong.

Question... if the Athlon is heat limited, then what did the copper buy AMD? Answer: Nothing. People have been cryo overclocking the P4 to well in excess of 2GHz... so your argument holds no merit.
