VBG ----------------------------------------------------------- Lev steps down Valence Technologies Names Stephan Godevais Chief Executive Henderson, Nevada, May 14 (Bloomberg) -- Valence Technologies Inc. said Stephan Godevais has been appointed chief executive and president of the maker of rechargeable batteries for laptop computers and cellular phones. Godevais replaces Lev Dawson, the company's founder, who will stay on as chairman. Godevais said he will focus on sales and marketing. ``The company has tremendous technical resources and intellectual capital,'' he said. ``My objective is to capitalize on these resources and take the sales and marketing efforts to the next level.''
