Art:

Excellent comments.

One of my best pals, (a former Olympic level sailor and one of the brightest minds I have ever met) is a top aerodynamist who has specialized in windmill blade design for many years. He has been, and continues to be, very busy. (g)

Best, Earlie

there is a difference in being competitive as in the customer receiving a payoff in 5 - 10 years versus the rate they are paying and whether the project is really economic overall.

The mills a customer is charged also contains fixed costs related to the distribution and transmission -- the project may not really be economic and still provide this payoff while these costs are not truly avoided.

I'm certainly not opposed to folks who want to -- to put in such systems ... I am against any kind of rebate or tax incentives for them when they cannot be justified on the total economics.
