I haven't a clue as to what an intelligent buying decision has to do with it. If you offer me a widget for $3 all I need to know is whether I prefer the widget to the $3, strictly from my own point of view. Whether your cost is $0 or $1000 is of interest to you, but does not necessarily affect me.

In your previous post, you inadvertently tried to define a free market and actually described a liquid market. Free markets are not necessarily liquid and liquid markets are not necessarily free. There is also no reason why a free market cannot consist of a single seller and a single buyer.
