where my trading advice is coming from -g-

Holy cow! Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield just shot by the office to offer the following advice in front of the Fed:

"The path of the righteous trader is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost profits. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my markets. And you will know my name is Elmer when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"

So, uh, Jules ... are you bullish or bearish? I understand the risks to both sides of the tape, and I certainly respect the power of the Fed, but what the heck are you saying? The announcement will hit the markets like an adrenaline shot to the heart, and rather than preach, you best get shakin' on a game plan.

I am assuming that the Wolf (Elmer) hits us with a 50 lot at 2:15, and the directive will set the tone. As I've been saying, I think there is a trade looming on the short side, but a benign statement probably rallies the tape near-term and shakes the shorts. If there is any mention of inflation (or hint at a less aggressive posture), I wouldn't wait for a rally to lighten up.

One thing's for sure: Liquidity will be abysmal when the news hits. Mitigate any unwanted surprises by putting strict limits on those orders and remove emotion from the process.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm takin' minxy Mia over to Lance's to relax before the show starts.

Biscuit!

R.P.
