"Are there criteria I should be applying that would make this a less blanket sort of blocking operation, do you think? How do you decide? Just 'OK,' the way I do, all the time?" the first part of the above question sounds like a weakening, or lessening, of the za defense. and you don't want that. i recall providing you with the link to a great za install piece.... zdnet.com if you adhere to the configuration recommendations this article, you'll be in good shape. crank the security settings to the max as shown here.... zdnet.com and if the pop up window gets too annoying (i like it myself), uncheck it as shown here.... zdnet.com the lock panel is an excellent feature.... zdnet.com i keep the auto lock disabled, but whenever i leave the web, i right-click the za icon in my systray and select 'engage internet lock'. nothing moves in either direction at that point. very secure. hope this helps :) mark
