When my bill in Seattle went up 90% in two years, I wasn't mystified, just ticked at the morons and the power brokers in California who made it possible.

But like the big ramp in oil prices in '72, this ramp will have side effects, too. More efficient cars, greater distribution of generation (solar & wind on homes and in small farms), more conservation. But only when the next administration comes along, methinks, as I see this one as Big Oil & Big Coal almost exclusively.
