Epi, he might have been talking about "designing out" Intel on a particular line of notebooks. The AMD processor may just appear as another item in the pick list for processor MHz.

Epi, maybe Ross has verified such massive volume of A4 related parts on their way to Dell that he can't imagine they'd need to make many intel-based laptops any more? :) :)

They might design Intel out of a particular product line, but it is also possible that AMD can supply all the mobile parts Dell needs to completely replace Intel's parts, and Dell is using the threat of a complete design out because Intel is not responding to the normal threats.
