WAG on Distillate displacement of NG for Jan - April.

Comparing average distillate demand from 98,99,2000 to this year's demand indicates an increase equal to a 2.12 bcf per day decrease in NG consumption. 120 days * 2.12 bcf per day = ~250 bcf more in storage and end of season.

Also the site linked below shows the cost differential trend for NG & HO . This is a very general relationship and local costs can very differently for delivery & contractual issues. So distillate demand could still be displacing some NG.

If you want the Xcel spread sheet let me know.
