Epi, Lets say AMD had 70% and Intel 30% share. Will dell staikc and live within that 30%...no way. and no way will Dell live within that 70 that is intel share. They want the same % of that 30% that now eludes them. Obviously Intel has failed and that share has crept up dramatically to the point where dell can no longer ignore it. Looks for more AMD design wins at dell. Bill

Twisting again...I don't think, even given an exceedingly liberal interpretation, that anything I said, implies that I meant "clean kill" will bring Dell to its knees...Plain and simple, I'll say it one more time: If Athlon 4 is a "clean kill" (as Mr. Sanders has stated) and if Dell is to offer the corporate base the best price/performing products in the world, then it necessarily follows that Dell must offer all "clean kill" products to uphold their image of offering the world's best price/performing products...Dell does not want its existing corporate base to have to shop for "clean kill" products elsewhere as they do not want their existing corporate base tempted by competitors' offerings...It's really pretty basic logic... not that difficult a concept at all...unless you choose to make it so, for whatever (ideological???) reason!!!
