Bill,

Sure if AMD continues to gain market share Dell will eventually cave and use Athlon or some future product, I would never argue otherwise. But AMD's market share isn't even the 30% you suggest yet and that's only in consumer systems. Their market share in large corporate systems (which are Dell's bread and butter) is still nearly 0%, likewise in servers and workstations (near 0%) Maybe Dell is being pre-emptive, I certainly don't know one way or the other, but I don't think they are feeling a do or die compulsion to include AMD just yet :)
