Turnkey Communications Package Featuring CGI's Total Health Care Management Tools Will Target Clinics And Medical Organizations Throughout North America
LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Anthony C. Dike, Chairman and CEO of Meridian Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MEHO chart, msgs), announced today that Meridian Holdings, Inc. subsidiary CGI Communications Services, Inc., an applications services provider specializing in communication services to the medical professions, has entered into a partner marketing agreement/VIP alliance with MCI WorldCom Communications, Inc. and its U.S.-based affiliates ("WorldCom").

Under the terms of the agreement, WorldCom will engage in targeted marketing activities to CGI's pre-qualified prospects and will compensate CGI for sales of WorldCom services, including high-speed connectivity services, data center hosting, and ongoing wide-area network communication services. These services, packaged as a "VIP program," will be made available by WorldCom to medical professionals in conjunction with the total health care management tools licensee and subscriber services marketed by CGI in cooperation with Meridian subsidiary Intercare.com-dx, Inc. In addition to its participation in cooperative marketing efforts, MCI's after-market activities will include the operation of a subscriber resource center offering technical support.

The VIP program is designed to offer today's medical professionals the utility and user-friendliness of a turnkey health care management system, including the highest quality communications services available.
