This is much more gentle than extortion. I would prefer bribe.

Now, if NEC refused to fix the problem in their cell-to-cell movement in order to extract more money from BT, I would call that extortion.

There was a report in the Economist a few weeks ago that said some vendors were providing 200% financing.
