Internet penetration rate <<It’s not all bad news for the e-commerce sector. Internet penetration rates as reported by Nielsen//NetRatings have grown as much as 40% from a year ago in some top markets. They also have stated that 81.2% of the population that have web access made a purchase online. Internet usage rates reported by Media Metrix also continue to grow. These metrics will be future drivers of growth in this industry, however, the growth will likely be more realistic as this young industry matures.>>
