I never get down and into NY City, and when this came up..., thought of your Irish haunts. Would be great to spend an evening trading stories. Tied up for most of Saturday and then have to travel out to Litchfield, CT for the second leg of the gathering on Saturday night. So theirs no chance of bending the elbow this time. Flushing is now by all accounts a real melting pot. About the only thing left from 1900± is a few old houses and St George Episcopal church on Main Street, my grandfather was a vestry man there for years. They were Scottish and called Kneeland. My mothers family, cousins, mothers, fathers and generational were all NY--New Yorkers way back into the 1800-1700s, and before then Conn. and Boston. Get sick of listening to the old ruminations of the great history..., but some characters were interesting. But I'll be coming down more often over the coming two years. Got a nephew who's just been accepted into Lehman Bros. back room on a 2 year internship. Not sure where they'll put the kid, but probably international currencies or something along those lines. So Patrick..., let you know the next visit....? Brother-in-law is about to buy a BMW Z3 914 antique has gotta be a blast...! Top Down...? Is it a true stock or worked over to bring it back...? So much fun to bring those sport cars into a light corner drift. Great Idea...! Chip
