Anybody care for a laugh...?

15:46 ET Rumor Mill : Qwest Communications (Q) is ready to do a deal. At least that is the rumor making its way around trading floors today. This morning, talk was that Sprint FON (FON) would be acquired by Q; now the speculation is that Global Crossing (GX) is the most likely candidate. Commenting on rumors, one analyst covering the space believes that a Worldcom (WCOM) acquisition by SBC Communications (SBC) is more likely than either of these rumored deals.

*The fact that GX's bonds have been rallying while others have plummeted speak volumes about the true prospects of these companies. GX is now clearly differentiating itself from the rest of the pack and the night-and-day difference that the bond market has long perceived should begin to be reflected in the equity as well. It's been a long wait, but GX shareholders should do very well going forward as this perception gains traction.*

Yep.
