Art, I closed all short positions this morning as the market appeared to defy logic. Also jumped the gun and closed out my BEAS calls but still up a tad overall on my trades over the last 24 hours. I had a feeling this would happen after the fed meeting this time round as one of my old brokers had taught me that as soon as a pattern seems clearly established, it goes away. Fortunately 65% of my account is still beaten down long stocks...I know you must be having a pretty good day too! FWIW, Art Cashin of PW who tends to call these things says based on the end of day activity this may continue for a few days. Time to short heavy maybe as we get close to earnings warning season in another couple weeks? regards, Steve
