Dell'Oro on WAN Routing Market : This afternoon, Merrill Lynch comments on Dell'Oro's report; says WAN router market shrank to $753 million in Q1, down 9.9% sequentially but up 103% over last year; says current decline in the WAN market caught them by surprise, as they expected slower growth, but growth nonetheless; discussing their investment opinion, believes WAN market continues to be a strong area of growth as the sequential decline in overall market size may reflect broad product transition to OC-192.

I was really surprised at the strength of the broad market rally today. Gold was exceptionally strong. I finally broke down and bought more technology. I went long on some GLW at 21. I would rather be adding new semiconductor holdings but most of the semi caps are well off their lows.

Really exciting about the competition coming in the video gaming world later this year. It should along with Microsoft's Window's XP help usher in a lasting bull market.
