FWIW, I overheard a couple of Dellies at the local HEB (a grocery chain that's big around Central Texas) discussing their likely imminent joblessness. It's a big concern around here, because Dell is a big employer (others include the State of Texas, University of Texas, Motorola, AMD, and IBM, for those of you unfamiliar with the area).

JMHO.

Computer giant's earnings meet but revenue falls short

...... The news dragged back shares of Dell (DELL: news, msgs, alerts) , but Compaq (CPQ: news, msgs, alerts) and IBM (IBM: news, msgs, alerts) held steady.
