Ed,

It looks interesting...not available in my area.

How much are they charging for residential use? I can't seem to find that info...they have the web site set up so that if it's not available in your area it's tough to get the info on cost.

Ed,

I checked availability at the Sprint broadband site and, no surprise, NA in my area. Too bad they don't have any info about general coverage and whether rural areas will ever be covered. I'd sign up today if I could.

To revisit the DSL topic, you might remember that I'm double the recommended distance from a central office. However I recently talked to Pacific Bell who wanted to sell me DSL service. When I stated the distance, they said no problem, they have hubs they install now that essentially turn a remote site into a mini central office! Ahh, technology continues to advance at a rapid clip. But as always, not in my neck of the woods. Still not available in my area. (:-(

Still tooling along reliably but somewhat slowly on ISDN. But there could be a future with one of these higher speed alternatives ... someday.
