Jim, I had Pauls solemn assurance that AMD would never reach 10% share, he sure is a good investment tout.

AMD has had their parts bought and analyzed by Intel. This caused some sharp square ones to be passed though the intel gut end, ouch!!.

The result of this anal-ysis is the panic release of P-4 after the P-3 fiasco at 1333 Mhz.

So Intel has looked and Intel is scared, so scared they are going to try to bury AMD.

Trouble is the P-4 is a useless chip and it will fail again and again untiol they get it on .13, at which time AMD better be ready.

Bill

Jim: AMD still needs to work overtime...get that dang Palomino Desktop out there...

I think we'll soon see confirmed that the Palomino is out there right now, along with maybe a beautiful Tyan dual CPU motherboard. Figure we just need to wait a few more days for the official release. This, combined with the mobile release (and Intel's general usual blundering) is beginning to put a bit more confidence in potential AMD stockholders. Meanwhile the current holders are less likely to sell, so: price goes up. I think AMD only did not release all this news at once because it will be better spread over a couple weeks or so (especially since Intel is basically doing nothing right now). Oh and then of course there's this new Dell rumor appearing to quite possibly be for real this time. Will see soon enough...
