"What is your take on the stock price performance if Intel preannounce (as opposed to how you can't see, given the fundamentals, why AMD is trading under $50)? "

June 7th is when INTC hold court I believe and just as the market looked past AMAT's current performance today, I'd guess the same will be the case with INTC on the 7th...although so much could happen with AMD between now and then that (i.e June 4th) one will need to reassess around the 5th...Probably wise to watch momentum indicators in this market!!!

Dell reports today...Wonder what light, if any, will be shed on the latest Dell rumour making the rounds??? Certainly, exceedingly positive for AMD if any substance to rumour can be ascertained by Dell's posturing this eve...If the rumour is dispelled by Dell's posturings this eve, might see some AMD consolidation in the $30 to $33.15 range, prior to breakout on upside...(Of course other events (Sony???) may cloud the issue as well)...

Next major test point for AMD is $33.25, its short term high...With all the AMD news that is currently about to surface, it could get tested fairly soon...

Astde: Somebody told me they saw a stat yesterday about 52 week highs reached yesterday by S&P stocks...Something like 25%, which if true, blows me away, when I think of AMD trading $16 below it's 52 week high of $48.50, particularly insamuch as AMD is now probably 5 times stronger financially and product line wise than when they were trading at their 52 week high of $48.50!!! Just have to think that when AMDbreaks through $33.25, it's gonna get into the mid $40's real quick!!!
