And on the beach the seagulls scream
They're mornful cries prolong
Chanting forth a requim
A saddened funeral song

They skim along the water's blue
And high aloft the soar
In memory of the fishing man
Lost off the great lakes shore

We share the hospital's smoking atrium (open air) with birds, pigeons being predominant. The are friendly and docile until they are nesting. Then they divebomb us hapless smokers. Some of the methods the hospital brass has employed (unsuccessfully) to rid us of these winged rats are hilarious. But that's another story, or four and twenty.
