QCOM's fortunes have turned in a big way. Like I stated yesterday, maybe the best tech stock on the Nasdaq. The strong gains today relative to the rest of the market only confirms the demand for this stock. The stories floating around about Nextel is very significant as well in addition to China Unicom buildout and the Euro/Japan delays in 3G. I am also of the opinion that the momentum is now shifting to cdma..and its flavor of 3G. Even the 144k data speed launch at the end of the year, puts the CDMA players (PCS, VZ)in a great position to take a lot of market share. Time to market is critical for the wireless carriers. Question is how long some of them will wait. The stories about Nextel only adds support to this.
