There are lots of folks that bought land near the top of the inflation cycle in the late 70's/ early 80's. I was surprised to find out that many of them are only getting their money back (- interest) on recent sales.

I think it is a sign that this land should be bought. I've made good profits trading them in the last yr., and think it should continue. They are selling out at the exact wrong time, just like most stockholders do..

The fact that almost no one is interested in it is also a good sign. I tried to scare up interest in forming a local REIT recently, but got nowhere on that. Guess I'll have to go it alone..

Thx 4 the thoughts.

Watching the local news tonight, they had a "feel-good" story about a mama bear that got hit by a truck...had 3 baby cubs that were terrified and ran up a tree, where the local animal shelter labored to get them down.

Incredibly ironic timing, wouldn't you say?<G>
