Owning gold stocks as an incredibly cheap insurance policy with respect to possible (probable) currency woes, is also becoming an accepted idea among intelligent investors. It doesn't take much to provide full portfolio protection and at the moment it is "dirt cheap" (lousy pun). (g)

I think the spreads between short-term rates and gold lease rates are important, too (look how much they have shrunk) --
AG has already said he is narrowing that spread again and soon -- who wants to take the other side of that bet?? <ng>
