Andy, I have no ill feelings toward you. I just expressed an alternative metric to compare athletes. Different sports require different focus on that which one might consider consider athletic. Andy we are in effect discussing the color of paint. But since President Bush is in charge and fixing all America's problems and left the left's as babling buttheaded baffoons why not fuss over sports. >>>>>>the nfl has the highest quickness (40-yard dash) times of any sport. Even in the metric you propose I'd suggest the less than 50% of a football team would beat any member of a soccer team at the professional level. It might be as high as 80% soccer and buttheads are both team sports and not individual sports So to me one measures the quickness with the 40 yard dash one compares it by team and not individual. However if one considers that the outside of the US soccer is the professional sport and that the speed is a major factor in all sports. One would suspect that Soccer world wide has many more fleet a foot than All American butt heads team. Butt heads is a game where the quarter back starts all the plays and sets up in a huddle and explains because many buttheads don't have to be quick thinkers. Soccer is a game where the quarter back is the person with the ball and the offense and defense situation changes in a heart bear. This requires a team that is fleet of foot and fleet of mind and can remain that way for 90 minutes of a very continuous play. Is there 20 minutes of action in a buttheads game. tom watson tosiwmee
