I'm looking for something to do besides coddling foolish 'hopes' that my future ... let's see ... might be something around 40 years of supporting myself from my current age of 47 .. will be based on ANY investing. We have nothing to invest in, okay? To guarantee lifelong 'retirement?' We have no idea what 'things will cost' in two years, much less 20. Things like health insurance. Pharmaceuticals. Housing. Automobiles. And, more and more and more insurance. I am in my eighth day of training in the death care industry. Whoa. Outside sales. Pre-need. Got insurance license along this trial path. As tech is dead, perhaps temporarily ... but the further 'we' go, looking grimmer... and grimmer... and grimmer ... for the legions of people in this country who's lives (careers) are based in the 'new tech economy,' wouldn't you agree? I'll keep you people informed as to how the death care industry works ... would suggest that you review your 'plans,' if any, sooner the better, 'just in case' ... LOL. I may not 'survive' ... by choice ... this 'new career,' (commissions/building lead base, etc, suck ... so far) ... I'll likely quit and do something else ...non-tech, fer sure. We'll see. Nighty-night to all the reckless tech bulls ... I hope you have much more confidence than I do in how we're all going to protect ourselves until we're 'put in the grave,' or, 'just cremate me and scatter my ashes over the nearest body of water,' ....<g> ... that's common among boomers .. and old men / veterans think they're buried free of charge completely ... uh, well, nope ... ... Because even THAT carries lots of restrictions, etc ... and costs money, folks ... Now or later ... costs go up, etc... <g> bia
