<< Not all of us get boners when Intel stock goes down. I'd imagine that plenty (most?) of AMD investors also invest in Intel. >>

Hehe, well I'm sure they're in my S&P index fund if that counts ;)

I don't currently invest in Intel, but I would consider it in the future when I feel they have substantial upside.

Right now I'd be pretty suspect about investing in them. Competition is fiercer then it's ever been. None of their new acquisitions are paying off, they've been eating a hole in their cash/investment treasure chest, the economy is slowing, demand is low, many feel the market is already past it's biggest growth years, and their next few quarters are going to look like -80% YOY earnings or worse because of all the investment crap they pulled last year. I'm just not sure where the incentive to invest in Intel at this point comes in. If I already owned Intel I'd probably hold, but I wouldn't be overly excited about their prospects.

That being said, I don't get overly excited to see Intel stock move downward, since it quite often drags my AMD stock with it.

JC,

Not all of us get boners when Intel stock goes down.

Hey, I only get mildly excited!

Pravin.
