Tero's take on the news about 1XRTT's troubles in the Korean market, from the "Columnist Conversation" at TheStreet.com:

Somewhat predictably, slight signs of post-spike weakness in Nasdaq are mostly in the telecom sector. We’ve gotten bad news flow from GPRS delays (England, Finland, France) and W-CDMA delays (Japan, Spain, Isle of Man). New kid on the block is 1xRTT, which is the data upgrade for CDMA networks. Korean launch problems of 1XRTT have not received international interest so far, but a new report on an English-language Korean website is probably going to force the mainstream business press to address the issue sooner or later. The new twist here is that 1x problems aren’t limited to data features – the phones are actually having trouble with handling voice calls. Which is kind of the point of having a mobile phone – and offers an explanation as to why Verizon is being so vague about its specific 1x launch date.
