Who gave consumers the expectation that cdma 1X was a video phone service?

yeah, the nerve! and some of those people even thought they should be able to place ordinary phone calls with those phones! they must not "get it". i hope george gilder goes to seoul immediately to explain the cocktail party analogy.

DR - 1X Korea - I have been asking for months now what is going on in Korea. No-one form the thread has been there unfortunately so we had to reply on second hand reports.

Reports were few and what there was indicated that they basically hadn't even started to sell them yet. Now we find that they have been sold but they don't work. What a joke.

First no news, then news saying very few sales, then news that ...well there have been sales don't say this time whether a lot or a little only that there is a very large percentage of complaints.

Well I guess there must have been some sales!!!!!

Best regards,

L

(rn - from what I'm told, these phones are based upon the MSM5000 "prototype" chips possibly communicating to a
Samsung CSM in the base station....results from 5105 phones on a QCOM CSM5000 based infra (LU, NT, MOT) are
looking very good)
