No, the formula only gives the current trading range, which of course will shift upwards as the company grows.

The extra $5 you are talking about is because there is a waiting list to buy CSCO shares that is 18 months long. So the company grows earnings while you wait in line, thus jacking up the earnings, thus jacking up the price by 30-45% ($5).

In the name of progress, the new economy has disintermediated the waiting in line part of course, so you really don't have to wait. You can just pay as though you have waited and get your certificate immediately.

Really improves productivity!
