A democratic republic operates on the premise that sovereignty resides in the people, and that no magistrate is above the law. In fact, those who hold positions of trust should be held to a higher standard than ordinary citizens.

When the independent prosecutor spends a good deal of time with Lewinsky in the grand jury on whether the President had any difficulties getting an erection, I would have thought that even a moron could have figured out that it wasn't about obstruction of justice, et al. Re: The Senate. A simple dolt understands that the Senate trial isn't about guilt. You couldn't even get all the Republicans to agree that the charges, guilty or not, warranted removal from office. The Republican leadership spews out one absurdity after another and can always count on simple tools like yourself to be gullible enough to believe them. One of the more recent examples being child care is the root cause of violence in schools. You recall your regurgitated claims of Bush'es stellar performance in the polls, when the data at the time showed that he had the worst performance polling data in history. That pretty much shows what a gullible idiot you can be. Whitewater convictions. It was always about Clinton, the other bozos were merely pawns in the game. No matter who the independent counsel could get thrown into jail, he could never get Clinton on anything in Whitewater. jttmab
